Introduction Consumer Electronics Shows (CES) are introducing product technology ââ¬Å"convergenceâ⬠between personal computers and consumer electronics industries (2004). In the past, there has only been enthusiasm, talks, and prototypes (2004). Today we have functioning product on the market that makes it a reality (2004). The giants in manufacturing computers, Dell, Gateway, and Hewlett Packard, made the brilliant transition into TV sells (2004). The most noticeable products are computer monitors and flat screen TVs (2004). Will this technology lead to failure? Options open to Sterling with a subsidiary is either to purchase a U. K. seal producer (Jordan) or build a branch as a Greenfield project. Buying out a local producer will allow a speedy market entry and access to local workers. This will also give Sterling access to current customers of the local seal producer. For this reasons, a ââ¬Å"buy-outââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬â¢ subsidiary will be preferred over building a new branch. The U.S. market is also one that is in need of a ââ¬Ëturn aroundââ¬â¢ in terms of sales and profitability. Once our seven-month contract with Julius Blumberg Inc. is completed, I will suggest we change our method of entry into the U. S. Market. Our trial with Bloomberg sales force shows that a direct sales approach dramatically increases sales in this market, therefore we should continue to export and invest in a sales and distribution team locally in the U. S. to drive sales. This will also allow us to penetrate the market faster and minimize any additional capital cost. In terms of interest shown in our product by other countries, I will suggest we research into sales opportunities in Japan for the reasons that Japan has a high population and number of lawyers compared to most of the other countries, geographically Japan also allows us to establish a hub in Asia so that we can establish a footprint in this region. Indeed it is often known that is harder to raise ?50,000 for a new firm with no history or collertaal than it is to raise ?5,000,000 for a established firm. Information asymmetrics is often blamed for creating the funidng gap. This is when the entreprenurer generally holds better information regarding the firms performace than the bank for making decisions. Information asymetrics can lead to two developments. Firstly, adverse selection, The banks cannot distinguish which new firm has the highest returns relative to the degree of risk, they have trouble adopting the price mechanism to help distingusih be een firms . Secondly, moral harzard, where (in the absence of collertal) use of higher interest rates by banks to offset risk would give firms receiving loans an incentive to alter their behaviour to adopt risker projects. These two reason reveal why it is harder to obtain smaller rather than larger funds. Banks requuire collertal in responce to these problems. However this often excludes new firms who lack funds despite viable plans. Therefore many fall into the fundi gap. The central hypothesis is that the market is not cleared through the price adjustments because of the asymetry of information between banks and SME's. So banks have an incentive to respond to an increased demand for loans by rationing credit fur er rather than by raising intereset rates. Also with new start ups having a 50% failure rate4 with the first three years funders can be generally reluctant to fiance such a propsotion. The funding gap questioned. The BOE report5 however states that there has been a decline in recent years of the funding gap. 1999 saw a trend away from debt reliance as new source of funding appeared. However this is only based on partial facts because it is difficult to obtain information on failed start ups . Therefore with information from only surviving firms is not easy to determine the full picture. Most people no matter their cultural background do things based on tradition, what their parents and their parents, parents did before them. The Bible offers few clues about the celebrations of Jesus Nativity, they are not mentioned in the Gospels or Acts, the date is not given, not even the time of year. (McGowen, 2002.) However Millions of people have adopted December 25th, as Jesus birthday. Snyder (2014 p.3) "In 2014 The National Retail Federation said that 90% of Americans would be celebrating Christmas and projected some 600 Billion Dollars been spent just on Christmas.". All in the name of Jesus! John 2:15 Brings out the account of Jesus driving men out his father's temple for using his name for financial gain using a whip he made out of cords, and over turning the tables of money. We can clearly see the way views the misuse of his name for profit. The date of Jesus Birth has been a question for centuries. There are no records of Jesus birthday.
